On Saturday, November 19 I participated in Ready to Hang, one of my favorite community art shows, a pop-up for one evening only that features work by local artists. Every piece in the show is 12 x 12 inches, which makes for a striking exhibit on the large, white walls.
My painting, Evening Blooms, is acrylic on panel and depicts the succulent blooms we saw one evening while walking to a local concert venue just after sunset. I’m happy it was in the show, and that it found a new home!
The show is also a fundraiser for CAW (The Community Arts Workshop), a very cool place indeed! It’s a space for artistic endeavors and exploration—a “blank canvas” for artists, thinkers, innovators, and creators to develop ideas, make connections, and build community. 🙂
